Spravato® nasal esketamine is FDA-approved for adults with treatment-resistant depression and certain cases of major depressive disorder with acute suicidal thoughts or behavior, when used with an oral antidepressant.
Unlike ketamine for depression, which is typically an off-label treatment, many insurance plans provide coverage for eligible patients receiving Spravato® nasal esketamine. Our team makes verifying benefits and navigating the authorization process easy and efficient.

Spravato® nasal esketamine is administered as a nasal spray under medical supervision, eliminating the need for IV infusions while maintaining the required monitoring for safety.
Treatment is more than receiving medication. Our clinicians evaluate your progress, monitor symptoms, adjust your treatment plan, and coordinate ongoing depression care.
Important Note
Both SPRAVATO® (esketamine) and ketamine can be effective treatment options for some people with difficult-to-treat depression. The most appropriate choice depends on a person's diagnosis, medical history, treatment goals, access to care, and insurance coverage. A qualified mental health provider can help determine which option is most appropriate.
If you're currently receiving IV ketamine or considering ketamine therapy for depression, you may also qualify for Spravato® nasal esketamine treatment. Our clinicians will review your history, discuss the differences between treatments, and help determine which approach best fits your needs and goals.
Choosing a treatment shouldn't mean choosing alone.
We'll explain your options, verify insurance eligibility, and develop a personalized care plan for you.

Many patients can be evaluated for a transition, although the decision depends on your diagnosis, treatment history, response to prior therapy, and clinical judgment.
Neither treatment is considered universally stronger or better. Both have evidence supporting their use in treatment-resistant depression, the main differences being in the ketamine IV vs. nasal administration, FDA approval, and insurance coverage.
Many commercial insurance plans and some government programs cover Spravato® nasal esketamine for eligible patients. Our team can review your benefits with you prior to treatment.
